Safety and Regulatory Presentation Skills

According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the Liberty Mutual 2002 Workplace Safety Index, the direct costs for occupational injuries in 1999 rose to approximately $40.1 billion, with indirect costs estimated at an astounding $200 billion. Dealing with safety in the workplace is not only important in enabling a company to maintain financial viability, it is also crucial to ensuring that employees can provide for themselves and their families in a safe, low-risk environment. Ignoring safety issues can lead to work-related illnesses, injuries, death and eventual bankruptcy. Fortunately, a vast majority of employers are focusing on safety and safety requirements as mandated by NIOSH and OSHA. More companies are providing on-the-job safety presentations to educate workers and members of management. These presentations play an important role in helping to maintain safe working environments. Our Safety and Regulatory Presentation Skills training workshop was created to empower business, association and regulatory professionals with the ability to educate and inform coworkers, management, customers and other concerned individuals on safety issues in the workplace.

Safety and Regulatory Presentation Skills is an interactive two-day training program that provides safety consultants, human resource departments, compliance officers and other professionals with presentation and communication skills that make safety presentations clear and informative. Whether safety presentations revolve around potential hazards in chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing or construction job site safety, our training workshop will provide the presentation and communication skills necessary to be a powerful presenter. Each Safety and Regulatory Presentation Skills training module focuses on important topics such as preparation, structure, delivery skills, strategy, use of visual aids, and the ability to handle question and answer sessions. Participants will benefit by developing and delivering an actual safety or regulatory presentation which, ideally, they will deliver shortly after attending this training workshop. All workshop participants are videotaped ten times and receive one-on-one personalized coaching and feedback. This focused training approach promotes personal progress and allows participants to build skills and modify behavior that might detract from a message. Program activities such as self-assessments, group discussions, training exercises, individual activities and question and answer sessions help reinforce the learning process.
