The software industry is quite possibly one of the most complex and varied industries in the field of high technology. While the average consumer is familiar with straight-forward software applications like Excel and communications programs Navigator, there are a whole myriad of software products that touch upon large segments of the corporate and consumer world. With so many products and so many people involved in the software industry, presentations are a fact of life in software companies, regardless of size of product breadth.
 

Presenters need specific techniques to enable them to communicate effectively, regardless of their audience. These techniques need to take into account the particular needs of the software industry. For example, what techniques can one use to effectively demo an application monitoring tool while presenting to an audience? These types of techniques are central to our Presentation Techniques for the Software Industry workshop. Designed as a two-day training class, our interactive program is designed to equip software industry professionals with the ability to deliver engaging presentations on technical topics and other subjects of relevance to clients and coworkers.

Presentation Techniques for the Software Industry is a truly interactive and participatory two-day training session that enables software industry professionals to learn and practice time-tested presentation techniques that make presenting technical information clear, manageable and engaging. All workshop training activities are centered on building effective communication skills via presentation techniques while strengthening the ability to structure presentations that flow seamlessly. All trainings modules used in this presentation workshop focus on techniques such as preparation, structure, delivery skills, strategy, use of visual aids, and the ability to handle question and answer sessions. These techniques can be used to present product release information to use groups or marketing campaigns to field sales representatives.

Presentation Techniques for the Software Industry participants will benefit by creating and delivering a real-life presentation which they will deliver shortly after attending this training workshop. Participants are videotaped extensively and receive one-on-one personalized coaching and feedback. Training workshop activities such as individual assessments, team discussions, training exercises, individual activities and question and answer sessions help reinforce the learning process in this interactive and technique-centered class.
