Why Are Charts So Important in Corporate Presentation Seminars?

Depending on the nature of the target audience, corporate presentations can be categorized into two distinct categories. A corporate presentation can either be internal or it can be external. Internal presentations are meant for the members of the organization while external presentations are meant for consumers, suppliers or for the community at large. In most cases, internal training programs form a major bulk of internal presentations. Hence, a majority of internal presentations are qualitative in nature. External presentations on the other hand, tend to be highly quantitative since they contain plenty of factual data like numbers, percentages etc.

External corporate presentations are sometimes also called B2C presentations, since the target audience is mostly the potential consumer base or the entire community in general. Such presentations are intended to acquire the audience's support and therefore are required to contain a lot of factual information. Since, the ultimate objective of a B2C presentation is to boost sales and increase corporate awareness, information such as customer satisfaction rate, growth in sales and market comparison forms the central highlight of a typical B2C presentation.

Generally, quantitative data is added to presentations in form of charts, because charts make analysis of data a lot easier. As they help the audience in determining the highs and lows of the data. Charts, also assist in determination of trends, just a glance is sufficient to tell whether the subject of analysis is experiencing growth or decline.

Presentations are generally created with the help of presentation software that comes bundled with the conventional Office suite. These software are preferred over advanced Flash based presentation builder utilities, simply because they are incredibly easy to use. Just about anybody can create a professional presentation using conventional presentation software like Microsoft PowerPoint. The problem with such software is that while you can customize your slides and apply animation to them, you can't make good looking and animated charts for your presentation. The limitation is due to the fact that Office based presentation software uses a charting component that is tied to the spreadsheet application.

Add-in charting components are a great way of overcoming the limitations of Office based presentation software. They drastically enhance the visual appeal and functionality of the charts and even render them with customized animation. The important fact is that add-in charting components can provide a very interactive charting experience and they are incredibly easy to use.
